Fit Kick – Why Push ups?

Fit Kick- from the archives. A common question our fitness experts Fitz and Tracy Benham often get asked is ‘what are your favorite exercises’. While both have numerous exercises we love, push ups definitely rank as one of the most effective and easiest to implement into almost every workout program.
Most people are familiar with the basics of a push up and although there are many tools such as the, Bosu, Perfect Push Up (tm) and push up bars no, equipment is needed. Just for fun we wanted to show you one of our first Fit Kicks filmed a few years ago. The graphics make us all smile. So take a minute and watch quick this video, to remember why push ups should be part of your workout routine.
If you find it difficult to do full push ups, try doing them on bent knees or even standing and doing them against a wall. OK, enough of our fun down memory lane. Here is one of last season’s AHN: Fit Kicks showing how to do “Newer Cooler Push Ups” with a few fun tools.
